Mechanical Team: The team continued working on the superstructure assembly and addition of key components. Two 1×1 tubes were attached to the 2×1 frame and CNC plates were mounted to cut certain plates. Strength spacers were also 3D printed using PET-G filament in order to reinforce the structure. Both climbers were attached to the frame and gussets were realigned to provide stability. The hook plates were corrected after being previously assembled backwards, one hopper extension plate was attached, and a 150-degree gusset was mounted in order to support the structure.
Programming Team: Continued development of the kitbot code. Elastic dashboard was completed, allowing for status displays for the feed, shooter, intake, drivetrain, and adjustable speeds for feed, shooter, and intake. The dashboard also displays the output current of the SparkMax connected to the NEO motor on the shooter, allowing the team to determine when the motor is stable and ready to feed the game pieces (fuel) into the robot. Additionally, the dashboard also shows the current autonomous mode, with a routine that drives the robot for two seconds. Operator controller was added, and the kitbot code is now ready for matches.
