FIRST Together | Regal Eagles

Our Mission Statement

FIRST Together is a student-led outreach initiative founded by FRC Team 2869, the Regal Eagles, to unite FIRST Robotics teams across Long Island and New York City through community service, collaboration, and a shared passion for STEM. Through FIRST Together, we bring robotics teams together to organize and participate in meaningful volunteer opportunities, support important causes, and expand access to STEM education within our communities. By encouraging teams to work together beyond the competition field, FIRST Together fosters lasting connections, strengthens the FIRST community, and provides students with opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Our mission is to demonstrate that when FIRST teams come together, our collective impact extends far beyond robotics.

Our Goals

Through FIRST Together, we aim to:

Strengthen the FIRST Community: Encourage collaboration and connections between robotics teams.
Expand STEM Accessibility: Bring STEM education and opportunities to underserved communities.
Give Back: Organize community service events, fundraisers, and outreach initiatives.
Develop Leadership: Empower students to lead projects and work together.
Inspire Future Generations: Encourage younger students to explore STEM and FIRST Robotics.

Scheduled Events

Jones Beach Cleanup – August 29, 2026 FIRST teams came together to clean up Jones Beach, promoting environmental awareness and community service. Autism Awareness Walk – October 11, 2026 FIRST Together participated in an Autism Awareness Walk to promote inclusion and support individuals with autism. Regal Roundtables – December 4, 2026 An upcoming event bringing FIRST teams together to share ideas, collaborate, and strengthen STEM outreach.

Where Do The Proceeds Go?

All proceeds from FIRST Together fundraising initiatives support nonprofit organizations and charitable causes, with a focus on expanding STEM accessibility and supporting our communities. We welcome suggestions for organizations and causes that align with our mission!

FIRST Together Board

To encourage collaboration and ensure that participating teams have a voice, FIRST Together invites each team to appoint a student representative to its leadership board. Board representatives help coordinate outreach initiatives, plan community service events, communicate opportunities with their respective teams, and encourage active participation. Through this leadership structure, FIRST Together promotes shared responsibility, student leadership, and cooperation among FIRST teams.
